Pans bands was formed by local musicians George Logan and Colin Findlay,  whose key aim is to promote and record original material from bands and musicians from Prestonpans and outlying areas.

We plan to release regular compilation CD`s of various artists and hold regular live gigs in the Prestonpans area showcasing the talents of the artists involved with us.

We have established our own digital recording facility in the town which will be used to record and nurture young up and coming bands and also established musicians who are keen to promote original material of all musical styles and genres.

We have collected a vast array of musical instruments, recording and P.A. Equipment over the years which will be available for use by the artists we are involved with, along with our knowledge and expertise in order to create the highest quality recordings and gigs for you the public to enjoy on a regular basis.

We will eventually list all of the forthcoming gigs and CD`s and generally keep you up to date with what is happening on this site.

We decided for our first CD release to ask 5 local bands from past and present to launch the company with a ten track compilation CD which they were all more than happy to be involved with.

A competition was held in conjunction with the Gothenburg and Preston Lodge High School art department to design the cover art work for the debut CD which was won by Kirsty Bellany.

The bands involved are Performing Dog, Vintage, Funkstar, Spike Island and The Movers. Providing a real mix of local talent from over the years.

We held a CD launch party at Prestonpans community centre on the 22nd April 2007 which was a great success and hopefully a sign of things to come. Check  out our events page.

We are now interested to hear from any local bands or solo songwriters / musicians who are writing original material who are interested in getting involved with us as we are keen to start recording the next CD. We can also have a pool of talented musicians willing to lend a hand should you need any backing tracks.

Pans Band Ltd is a non profit making company. All funds raised from CD sales and events will be used to promote live and recorded music and in the area.
